You may have noticed since the iOS7 update you may get a message when you connect a cable or connector like in the image below:
“This cable or accessory is not certified and may not work reliably with this (iPod/iPhone/iPad)”
That being said, non-certified cables which give this message WILL WORK 100% perfect with iOS 7 powered iDevices so simply dismiss the message.
Apple is attempting to nudge its users towards purchasing “Apple” products which are made by Apple and generally cost 3 times the price. The best advice we can give is to simple purchase the cables from GSMsolutions or anywhere you wish for that matter. As a innovative company we do love Apple, however, sometimes they over step the mark, and this warning which tries to shut out the competition who make accessories we believe is maybe just a little too far.
Despite the warning, the message can be ignored, and users can continue to use a “Apple non-certified” accessory. The current version of iOS 7 displays the warning, so the message may be changed or eliminated by the time the software is officially released.
You can still purchase Apple cables are excellent prices here.
